What Have We Done?
Our roots are deep in information security community.
Way before establishing Koteco Oy, our people have created some really cool stuff for the people to hack and learn.
We believe in giving back to community, so we still help out and do cool stuff for the non-profit organizations.
Since 2018 we have been responsible of the Disobey Badge design and manufacturing. We have also designed the puzzles linked to the badge, involving tens of CTF-style hardware and software challenges.
DISOBEY
Hardware Hacking Training
With strong background in embedded development and hardware design, we decided to share our knowledge with our peers.
We set to create a course which we would also like to take. A few day all-inclusive package with good guides and interesting things to do.
We created a unique experience, where people from any background can join in and start hacking real devices. Participants can keep the tools and devices, so they are ready to continue hacking also afterwards.
Our trainings have received 5-star ratings from most participants, so we can honestly recommend this to anybody who is interested about hardware hacking.
Contracted to create a mirror that exposes the most private secrets and hidden details of anyone who dares to stand before the mirror, KoTeCo created a smart reflective device and gave it a brain.
Combining artificial intelligence to metadata sold by various of social media platforms, we could form a convincing profile of a person from very small fingerprint.
This device was created in collaboration with Viria and was displayed as part of Helsinki Design Week 2021.
